Ian Sherwood – Managing Director, Delta Marine

Widely known and well respected, specialising in seafarer industrial relations, Ian has spent his entire working career in the shipping industry. This culminated in the creation of Delta Marine in 1987. With clients from all over the world, Delta has crew management interests in over 50 vessels.

In 1998 Delta Marine became one of the founding members of the International Maritime Employers Committee (IMEC), and Ian has acted as their spokesman and chief negotiator in its discussions with ITF for the past 9 years. Ian has been Chair of IMEC for the last 4 years.

Captain Sorrera has been integral to the success of our Meco Manning operation in Manilla. Captain Sorrera has a wealth of first-hand knowledge of the industry, ensuring that we provide the best candidates to our clients. The grandfather of the Manilia operation he has established in the Industry accumulating a network of contacts over 35 years to Meco unlike any other competitor.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Paul has worked for Delta Marine for over 15 years, 5 of which at a senior level. Today, he performs a high functioning role within the overall running of the Organisation, preserving and securing its current and future status within the marketplace.
