Save Our Seafarers

 

We welcolme the news that a new advertising campaign proposed and financed by ship owners and unions; will be launched into mainstream media to campaign to goverments. The goal is to bring the public awareness of the war on the shipping industy will put pressure on governments to act, co-operate and bring a solution.

Piracy affects any consuming nation importing products 90% imported through ships, te pirates targets are the assets of the cargo, lives of seafarers, and the vessels. The innocent seafarers bringing these goods are being targeted, captured or even killed for ransom.

As we write this article; less than 8 hours previous, a bulk carrier  was captured with 23 innocent lives onboard taken to the fate of pirates.

- Our question to Governments -

Why has it taken a campaign funded by the industry to bring it to the public attention ?

Our Answer - Clearly the reasons for the  'War on Terror' has not worked out well for you; please focus these resources for a genuine reasons on the 'War on Consumers'  and bring a solution fast.
